Irinox, a manufacturer of blast chillers, and Berto’s, which specializes in professional cooking products, among the 100 factories that will open their doors on Nov. 29 during Open Factory. Katia Da Ros (Irinox): “Often the excellence of our territories is not told; when seen and experienced, companies become a shared wealth.” Enrico Berto (Berto’s): “Production venues must be beautiful and safe; it will be interesting to open the doors to the curious”
Open the doors of their businesses to citizens and tourists to witness the willingness of the “Made in Italy” system to team up on shared goals of visibility, enhancement, promotion and protection of their craft and manufacturing sites.
“Open Factory,” an exclusive project promoted by Cult Venezie – European Culture Fair and Fondazione Nord Est under the patronage of Confartigianato Veneto and Confindustria Veneto, presents itself as one of the most ambitious and interesting moments of meeting and confrontation in the current national scene, in order to foster, through dialogue between subjects, the creation of new networks and partnerships between the world of tourism and the major managerial and entrepreneurial realities of the Triveneto. One hundred manufacturing excellences operating in different product categories – food, fashion, design, furniture, technology, etc. – will be the protagonists of “Open Factory” on Nov. 29; these are enterprises that, by opening up to this initiative, choose the path of innovation, enhancing their uniqueness through creativity, skills, abilities, talents and resources.
“We decided to join the project right away,” explains Katia Da Ros, vice president of Irinox, a leading company in the field of multifunction blast chillers for catering, pastry, ice cream and bakery, “because ‘Open Factory’ is perfectly in line with our corporate philosophy. In addition, we have just opened the “Freshness meets design” space dedicated to our customers and to all that “world” that revolves around the culture of wellness, food and design.”

The Appointments, business tours, paths and thematic insights will serve to transfer knowledge, share and encourage planning, train and inform, and strike the right balance between the values of business and those of the industrial and manufacturing culture of the Venetian regions.
“Often the excellence of our area,” Katia Da Ros continues, “is not told. Instead, the moment they are seen and experienced, the companies become an asset and a source of pride for the entire community itself. Opening the factory by making it visible and usable to the general public means making sure that that wealth becomes a living product, but above all it means telling the story of the company in a different way than how it is usually told. The day’s program is still being finalized, but I can assure that it will be a very interesting afternoon and that there will be no shortage of important personalities. Irinox,” the vice-president concludes, “wants to become a permanent center of attraction and give its visitors new and exciting experiences.

She is also echoed by Enrico Berto of Padua, owner of Berto’s, a company specializing in professional cooking products, enthusiastic about participating in the opening: “Factories are interesting places that produce objects, services and goods for end consumers. Berto’s produces community kitchens that are in demand and sold all over the world; therefore, I think it is inspiring to get into the thick of their production and realization even if only for a day. Ours, in particular,” Berto’s illustrates, “is a modern plant that uses current running systems and innovative technologies. We are convinced that production sites should be beautiful and safe, and that is why I am pleased to open the company’s doors to citizens, tourists and the curious.”
